U-Boat

During World War 2, Ilvo Fontana was handed a command to manufacture swiss watches for the pilots of French navy submarines, commonly known as U-boats. These designer watches would have to be significant and evidently apparent under any conditions. While the task never name to fruition, in the long run went far beyond its goal almost 40 yrs eventually when Italo Fontana, Ilvo's son, implemented the initial concept to maximize an outburst of horological creativity in Tuscany and develop a new writst watch.

Named for the initial plan from 1942, U-Boat was brought to light in 4000, a firm committed to a unique fashion sense displaying recognizable Tuscan aspects of strength and character in the self assured design. U-Boat's watches are filled with eccentric beauty, putting them in a league of their own. Each piece is operated by a mechanical or personally wound Swiss ETA movement, a sure sign of the company's determination to good quality work.
